The first 50 days at GoodFoot- A recipe
Hello world, Courtney here! I’m excited to be the new Good Foot Operations Coordinator!
On the day I am writing this it’s Day 52 at Good Foot for me and I am sitting in the community space at CSI writing a reflection piece on my first 50 days (could be 52, but 50 is a nicer number – you know?). In an attempt to sum it all up, here’s a list of the ingredients that composed my first 50 days:
- One move from Montreal to Toronto
- A handful of the friendliest and most helpful co-workers in the world
- One super fun office space with a few great neighbors
- Many Bunz trades for furniture and plants
- A couple dashes of challenges
- Twenty dispatch shifts
- One steep learning curve
Mix it all together and you get me on my 52nd day at Good Foot! It’s been incredibly rewarding working here. I love working in an environment where people are so stoked to come to work everyday because that makes me excited too!
Through everyone’s patience, support, and guidance, I feel like I’m at a point where I’ve leaped over my first step of learning how to be on the Good Foot. I feel pretty comfortable dispatching, know many customers by name, recognize some couriers’ numbers when they call (really just Ari and Alan), and have successfully timed going down to the 3rd floor of CSI for a fresh batch of coffee.
Moving forward, I’m excited to continue the projects that have been set in motion over the last couple weeks. I’m also really looking forward to getting to know everyone better (the staff, families, customers, and all of the other people on the Good Foot). It feels great to be a part of this community!
